CoCounsel Legal delivers fiduciary-grade agentic AI, built on the authority of Westlaw and the guidance of Practical Law.

To use the CoCounsel Legal connector, you need a CoCounsel Legal license, to have switched to the next generation of CoCounsel, and a Thomson Reuters Account.

The connector is offered as a pilot and may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn at any time, in whole or in part, without notice.

Connector use is governed by your organization’s agreement with Thomson Reuters for CoCounsel Legal (”Agreement”), and the terms on this page (“Usage Terms”). Thomson Reuters content, and any output containing it, that you access through the connector remains Thomson Reuters content and stays subject to the Agreement and Usage Terms; connecting through the connector does not give you any additional rights to Thomson Reuters content it, and you may use it only for your organization’s ordinary internal business purposes.

You must not, whether directly or through any tool, agent, model, or interface (including a model context protocol (MCP) connection): (i) provide or make Thomson Reuters content available to another Professional AI Tool (meaning a third-party application or service whose primary purpose is to perform legal, audit, tax, compliance, or accounting research, analysis, drafting, summarization, automation, or similar tasks using artificial intelligence); or (ii) use Thomson Reuters content to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI or machine-learning model, or as a knowledge base, index, embeddings store, or retrieval or inference source for any AI system (including for retrieval-augmented generation). You are responsible for configuring your connected environment so that Thomson Reuters content is not routed or exposed to any such tool, including by not relying on any “always allow” or “auto-approve” setting that would permit it.

By installing, enabling, or using the connector, you accept these terms for your organization; if not, do not use it.
