Join Microsoft Teams meetings using Pexip with Google Meet hardware

Some Meet features aren't supported in a Teams meeting. The Teams meeting host can record meetings.

Note: You can also use built-in interoperability to join Teams meetings from both ChromeOS and Android-based Meet hardware devices, and you can join Meet meetings from Android-based Teams Rooms devices. Learn more

Before you begin

An administrator must turn on this feature. For details, go to Join Meet meetings from other 3rd party devices using Pexip.

Schedule a Teams meeting on a Meet hardware device

If a Google Calendar user in your organization owns an event that includes Teams meeting details, they can add the room that is associated with a Google Meet hardware device. The Teams meeting will appear on the room’s agenda.

If the event with Teams meeting details originated outside of your organization or from a client other than Google Calendar:

  1. Duplicate the event in Google Calendar.
  2. Add the room with Google Meet hardware to the duplicated event.
  3. You may want to remove all participants from the duplicated event so they do not get multiple invitations.

  1. Find an available Meet hardware room.
  2. Tap the meeting name that includes the subtitle Via Microsoft Teams (Powered by Pexip), where you see your meeting agenda.
