pdns-backend-mysql dependancy to mariadb-common

Hello,
when trying to install a powerdns auth server 5.0 on Debian with powerdns repos we have seen that the packages seem dependant on mariadb while we wanted to use mysql or percona.
Is it a choice or a misconfig ?

This is a choice (we have to make one during package building), but mariadb client libs should work fine with a mysql or percona server.
